Actually "Black Chrome" has been out for a while. Not really new..
To my recollection it has been out since the mid 90's.
Pretty cool lookin' I think..

Do a search on Lifetime Coatings, then look at their Black Ti stuff.
That's where I sent my trees.
It's still somewhat opaque, meaning you can barely see the chrome behind the black.
It's not really all that dark.

Husky tools have been available in black chrome for years.

I've had a socket set and wrenches in black chrome and its held up really well for the last 5 or 6 years.

Been out since the 60s that I know of. Probably longer.

Black chrome plating on firearms was very popular in the 1960s. Black chrome is an electroplate not a paint.

Thank you everyone for the input, i think I will be doing this next winter (this winters funds are used up) looks like it will be a really great look!

BTW, utlonghorns416, those wheels look GREAT !
