Has anyone here used any Black Chrome instead of regular chrome on there bikes? I am thinking of doing this instead of the normal Black Out look a lot of people are doing lately. . . If someone can post up any pics of stuff they have done please. . . . THANKS !
I was thinking of having my rims done in black, and heres what the guy at Impressplating told me (He is the only guy I found that gives a 3 year warranty on his chrome) His work is impeccable. He said the cost was about $40 more on each wheel, but most people that get black chrome come back in 2-3 years and have it bright chromed, because the UV rays turn the black chrome white like its oxidized.
I am going to have my stock 9 spoke wheels black chromed this spring. I think it will look good with the black pearl paint and black diamond series hardware. Would love to see any pics of this as well.
I am thinking of doing this to the forks, crash bars, dash, handle bars, and maybe the wheels. This will be on a Vivid Black Road-Glide Ultra, so SHOULD look HOT I think.
I have heard about the oxidizing, but had heard it depends on maintenance of the plated part . . . . .
I've never heard of black chrome before. It will look really sweet with your black scooter. After you have it chromed and assembled, we need to see some photos.
