Unhappy Crank TIR

I got 07 S.G. with with 30k miles, Doing a motor build on it found out crank has .009 run out.
Is that normal issue with the TC or is it just my luck ?

I only have 2800 miles and I checked mine when I installed my Fuel Moto 107" kit and it was .003

Run out is when the Crank shaft is held on bearing areas and it is rotated with an indicator on the outer most point (by the cam gear)in one rev. the total amount of .000 it is not straight. Hope that helps ?

If the crank is bent, the center of the shaft does not rotate in a fixed location. Rather, as it rotates, it moves in an arc around a center point. If the center of your shaft had a pencil mounted perfectly to it, and the shaft was not bent it would leave a pencil point on a piece of paper, if the shaft was bent, as it rotated, the pencil would draw a circle on that paper. The numbers that we are using here are very small and the average guy can't see .009 very well. Because of this, we use a measuring device called a dial indicator. So, the term that you hear is TIR, Total Indicator Runout , the amount that your crankshaft is bent. .009 doesn't sound like much until you realize that at 4000 rpm your crank is turning a revolution 4000 times every minute, so multiply .009 times 4000 to see total movement of your shaft. It's alot.

it just means the crank rotates out of round. Seems like an issue that would never come up unless the main bearing kept wearing out or excessive vibration.
