Hmmm, that's a thought. Is there any market for brand new 2into1-into-2 and stock mufflers? Thinking of selling them to off set the cost.

They put some rineharts slip ons on the one I test rode, and it sounds MUCH better than stock, even at idle. But since I already bought the fatcats, I can have them installed, and just wait for the race tuner and heaver breather till I break her in. Also, they say 1000 miles til first oil change. On my S&S I did it at 100, 500, and 1000. I mean you can never have too clean of oil, right?
I wanted that motor to last (didn't expect to get hit buy that mini SUV) I still have the bike, and motor is untouched, but it's not ridable in it's present condition.

I'll give you $50 for your stock header pipe if you're within a couple hours of Detroit.

Since I already paid for the stage one kit, and D&D's, I'm just gonna go ahead and let the dealership break it in on the dyno for $120, then install everything and Dynotune the SE race tuner in. I think I'll just hold onto the stock exhaust for now, have room in the attic of the garage.

Sounds like a plan.

For parts combinations where they have a calibration that's close, I wouldn't even worry about break-in before swapping parts. The only item I'd avoid is them running the motor at high load for awhile on the dyno before it's broken in, and everybody has their own theories about that anyway.

Yeah they run it lie 200 miles, they say the program is set to accelerate and decelerate in such a way to seat the rings, I'll still take i easy till I get to 500 miles, and no push i past 4500 til 1000 miles, rev limiter will be set at 6200.

I agree with you. I took my bike for the 1000 mile check up in 4 days. I'd just buy my permanent ones and forget about it.
