Temporary Slip ons
Yeah, the stage one parts where bought with the bike, I planned to just ride it and bring it back for that, then I heard the rinehart slip ons on the one on the floor, made stock sound like a vespa. So instead of spending money on slipons, I figure I'll pay the 1½ hours of labor to do the break in and get the stage one installed. As I said above, with the wife being disabled, I never know when I can get away to put some serious miles on, if I only ride to and from work, it's only 10 miles a day, unless I'm lucky enough to have to ride somewhere to inspect equipment or go to an auction.
Question for you guys. I had Wild Pigs slip ons on my bike and when I took it in for a service, the mechanic told me I wasn't getting enough air flow and I need to get a new air cleaner installed, one that allows more intake, or else I would risk damaging the bike. I took them off as I did not want to do any other upgrade to the bike. What has been your experience with the slip ons? Did you need to do an air cleaner upgrade or was I just having smoke blown up my butt? Thanks for the input.
