I know the WO518's on my bike took about 3-4 months before they felt right, 2 years later I have no desire to change at all. When I put 508's on the wife's bike they felt great right away...go figure. But we have RKC's.
Thanks; I may take ya up on that at some point. I didn't go with the Heritage bars; I have the 2" pull back. Time will tell!

Are the "2" pull back" bars the same thing as the "reduced reach" bars? (HD P/N 56152-04)

UPDATE: Saturday I did 440 miles and they felt okay for most of the day but at about mile 300 they really started to feel "right". Sunday I did another 100 miles and they were becoming very comfortable; the parking lot feel returned etc. Yesterday another 140 miles and the bars felt like old friends (the good ones). Handling at any speed is easier; tight u-turns and parking lot maneuvers are simple and precise. In a nutshell; it took a 700 mile weekend ride to get everything settled in and now that they have I would recommend them.

As suggested, I will grab hold of them before I let them start. I can't remember where, but someone had posted a picture from the top of three sets of bars stacked up, I think they were a set of wo575, stock, and the hd pull back bars. The wrist angle didn't look to out there for me and a lot of riders have stated that they felt odd to begin with but that after a few miles they were fine. I dunno what to say other than these stockers gotta go, the az dealer has everything in stock, its in my price range. I'll report back later this weekend. Wish me luck!
I have the reduced reach bars. I don't think the 2" pullback bars and the reduced reach bars are the same bars. I am not completely sold on the looks but have no complaints about comfort.

Cool Sorry to hijack thread, but...

I am surprised Henderson did not deal. Never tried them for any service (actually never take the bike in any dealer) but Henderson always has some good sales on merchandise so I assumed they would be competitive in service.

Good Luck! Hope you like them.
+1 good luck with the bar change out.
IndyClassic I was out in Kingman a short while back to disconnect a few machines @ a factory that has closed. Hope it did not effect you. I was only there a week so not long enough to get a good feel for the area. I did get to drive around and see some sites, and it is a little different than the north Georgia mountains to say the least. Rt. 66 is cool though. Got a pic of it in my album on this site. Just thought I would say hello.

I'm not sure that their the same either; but the comfort is great. The part I put on is HD # 56176-08.

Love the look of your RK in your sig pic; great looking bike.

I put on the Heritage bars and it took me a couple of days to get used to them. I am now thinking about going to the WO575 because I rode a freinds Ultra with them and they felt nice.

Before they mount them, grab them in your hands and make sure you like the wrist angle.

Take the time to look at the Kromewerks +2 sweepers or Wild1 WO575's before plucking down the cash on the pullback bars.
Might save yourself some time and money. Just sayin.

lp
girlfriend has the reach bars on her RKC, I'd LOVE to cut them up for scrap and go back to stock. it is exactly as LP says...driving a wheelbarrow, and slow parking lot riding sucks.

Fortunately it was not our plant, probably a near neighbor in the airport industrial park though. Interesting is a good way to put it. Area has really grown on us but it is a world away from Indiana where I grew up and spent 47 of my 53 years. Love northern GA.....that and TN were always two of my favorite "targets" but company moved me here and so far we are loving it. If you ever get back make sure and give me a heads-up!

Vistavette glad the bars settled in for you! Took a month or two when I installed my WO's but now they are on to stay.
