I have a 2010 Road King standard California model with cat, etc. Can anyone give some feedback on the Fuel moto stage 1 package; jackpot slip on, air cleaner, power commander V.
1. Will this void the factory warranty, should I wait for the warranty to expire?
2. How much better performance will I get compared to the HD dealer package that includes a factory ECM download.
3. Will the bike run cooler?
4. Can I revert back to factory settings if I have to, for emissions by just plugging the ECM back in?
5. Are the pipes double wall to resist blueing?
6. I'm looking for a little better performance and a little more rumble from stock pipes.Thanx

I've got a 2010 Fat Bob. Now I don't know about the jackpot slip ons specifically, but I do know that if the good fold at Fuel Moto know your setup (bike make/model, pipes, a/c) they will send you a PCV that is pretty much dead on (as close as you can get without a dyno). I ordered a power package from them and my bike runs great (no need for a dyno). You're in good hands if you put your trust in the folks at Fuel Moto.
I put the whole deal on my 2010 Limited, including the headpipe and have been very satisfied with the performance and the sound of the Jackpot slip-ons. If you don't replace the headpipe you can revert to the stock set-up just by unplugging the PC-V. You should not have any warranty issues unless they can show that the problem was caused by your modifications. The nice thing about the PC-V is that Fuel Moto will send you new maps for any changes you make at no additional cost. If you want the dealer to re-flash your ECM it will cost you each time and you will be limited to what they offer. The bonus is that Fuel Moto has a reputation for great customer service and their Jackpot slip-ons are top quality fit and finish.
Stage 1 download is necessary if you want to raise your rev limiter and see the reading on the tachometer when using a PC-V. Cost you an additional $200.00 over the cost of the PC-V.
The pipes are great quality. I however had that setup with the PC-V. I did not like the PC it caused some glitches with my bike. I sold that and got the SEPST and the results have been great with this setup. I like the fact that I get better fuel mileage with the same if not better performance with this tuner and it is a DIY'ers playground. But either way the bike will run better, cooler and if you go with the PC-V you can just unplug and return to stock settings, only do this however if you put the stock pipes OR the stock air cleaner back on to avoid a lean condition and possibly damaging the engine.

Not true. PCV allows rev limiter to be changed to 6200 rpm.

Not usually from what I've heard. Like someone else pointed out, the dealer has to prove the Stage 1 mods "caused" the problem. However, if you find a dealer who decides to be a you-know-what about it...............
2. How much better performance will I get compared to the HD dealer package that includes a factory ECM download.
The HD download will help compensate for the freer flowing intake and exhaust, keeping an already lean running engine from running even leaner but it's still designed to maintain EPA emissions levels. I'd think you'll see an improvement in performance but not as much of one as you will with the PCV installed too.
3. Will the bike run cooler?
With the AC, mufflers, and PCV set properly, yes. At least it did on my bike but I've got to tell you, if you get caught in stop and go traffic long enough, it's still going to get plenty warm down there. For me, during normal riding where the heat wasn't that big a deal in the first place, I couldn't tell that much difference. There was a difference but for me, it wasn't that much all things considered. If you just get the HD download, don't expect the bike to run cooler as, like I said, it's still having to maintain mixture levels that will pass EPA regs.
4. Can I revert back to factory settings if I have to, for emissions by just plugging the ECM back in?
Yes you can as the PCV just piggy backs on the bikes factory ECU. It doesn't change the ECU itself in any way. The only thing I'd be concerned about is running the engine with the AC and mufflers without the PCV. I'd be afraid of the bike running too lean. Most will tell you that the ECU can compensate for a change in AC or a change in mufflers but generally not so well with a change of both. At least that's what I got out of the conversations I read when I was researching what you're looking into with this post. I can't say as an absolute on that part of it. Either way, if you do have to remove the PCV for an emissions test or something, I wouldn't run the engine any longer than I absolutely had to in that mode.
5. Are the pipes double wall to resist blueing?
I don't think the pipes are double walled but the chrome job is first class. My Jackpots look great and I've not heard anyone complain about bluing yet.

With the setup you're talking about, that's exactly what you'll get. I couldn't be more pleased with the change in sound and performance I got out of my Ultra with this mod and it took less than an hour to do, all told.
Best of luck with your decision and Ride Safe!

Pretty much what Intrepid says is true. It depends upon your dealer or dealer(s). I bought Jamie's 2x1x2 header and Jackpot mufflers for my Tri-Glide. I'm also having the SE 255 cams installed by my dealer. They at first would only allow me to use an SEST Pro tuner. The assistant service manager talked them into letting me use a TTS instead.
FWIW, My dealer and other dealers in our area have told me that if they see a piggy back unit like the PCV they will flag the bike. It's hard to understand this as some dealers will install a PCV. With the TTS, I can save the base map and download the new map. I can also save the V-Tune and Datamaster runs to a thumb drive. If I ever have a problem out of town, I can re-download the base map into the ECU and leave no footprint. We always carry our laptop on trips. Just some food for thought.
