Powdercoated/Painted Ignition switch?

Powdercoated/Painted Ignition switch?
Wondering if anyone has ever done this. I'm about to bite the bullet and try it, just worried about stuff getting down in the lock tumbler part. I could always stick one of the extra keys in there to protect it but I'd still have that center piece chrome. It's one of the only parts I have left that hasn't been blacked out one way or another. That and the tourpak hinges, hasps and lock. Gonna give them a whirl too.

Another option might be getting a Paul Yaffe Yafterburner Ignition Switch Cover.
