You Place and Tighten Down the Stationary Bar underneath your Frame .. the Front wheel rolls easily through the Mount on the deck between the Latches on Right and Left hand sides ..When the Bar mates up with Latches it locks down .. Probably didn't explain it well but best I can do ...
This product looks great. what keeps the clamp from loosening up with vibration while transporting? Is there a way to lock the clamp so it doesn't unscrew?
I'm using the Condor when I trailer the bike and it works great and I like it. The down side is it's pricey. If I buy another one, I'll probably go with the one from HF. Checked it out at the store and it looks to be well built and would probably do everything the Condor does at a substantially better price.
The one from Harbor Freight works great on my ultra. Get the black one. You can bolt it to the floor of the trailer. Very secure. Still a good idea to strap it down though.
I have the Wheeldock with the bracket to mount in the trailer. I can can use the chock in my garage to keep my bike upright and out of the way and it can be installed in my trailer in about 30 seconds. It's easy to roll the bike out of the chock also.
Just got the Harbor freight wheel chock and I think it is great. Bike is very stable in the cradle. I didn't bolt it directly to my floor in the garage so I can remove it to clean, use somehere else or in a trailer. I just drilled a 3/8 hole in the back and then a 3/8 hole in the garage floor and just drop in a pin and viola doesn't move when pulling on or off.
Here's what happens when you use a "tetter totter" style wheel chock. Sometimes it's better to spend a little money to get the right wheel chock.
Cheap isn't always the best!!! Look the right side of my forehead. Hit it on the high windshield on a customer's bike trying to pull the bike out of the wheel chock.
get a real wheel chock at www.wheeldock.com and it's made in the USA!
