Default Limp mode again!

Is it just the 2011's that are experiencing this or is it common with all the newer year fly by wire bikes? This is the 2nd time in 2500 miles my FLHTK has about put me on foot. I just don't get it! Rant mode is OFF. Just a little pissed...

None. If Sound doesn't get it figured out this bike is going down the Friggin road! I think this fly by wire throttle system is JUNK! I put 16k on my 08 Softail & never had problem one.

I've had my 2010 FLHTK for a little over a year now, over 7000 miles and have not had, or experienced any problems. None. Just rode 150 miles today.

Happened to me last year, was the whole throttle body.took two dealers and three times to figure it out. They tried blaming it on the power commander.

Glad to hear not everyone is having a problem. This will be my 2nd trip into the dealer with this problem. I told them to keep the bike until they resolved the problem & to bring the MoCo into it. Going to miss another day of riding tomorrow because I don't trust this thing. It's the ***** when you spend the $$$ they want for these bikes & I'm afraid to ride it any distance for fear of being on the side of the road.

I've got a 2010 Ultra Limited, and it's just over a year old with 30,654 miles and have never had an issue with the TBW. Granted I've not done much but ride it and do all the services, and up to recently it's been 99.9% stock. Guess I've been lucky...

In shop now for some much needed upgrades.....
