The $20 upgrade gives UNLIMITED mileage towing to the nearest dealer. Sign up for that.
I'd ride the thing into the boonies and call the 800 number everytime it hiccuped.
After a few expensive tows- H-D now has a reason to resolve the problem...otherwise someone will be getting billed back $200 a go for towing.
For a premium item still under warranty, it should be solved quickly.
that said, no problems with mine, I find it very good. However I have had problems with erratic high ( 1800 rpm ) idle. when I USE the kill switch to stop the motor ( which has been my habit for over 20 years)- the solution is to cycle the ign. switch off/on a few times.
i have a 2011 roadglide did it at least 5 times till i figured out it only did it when it got hot. i let it cool down for a few minutes and fired right up. i had a 09 SG never did it but the 2011 runs alot hotter then my 09 did. i resolved the problem with a tuner and a ultra oil cooler.

Actually I have a tuner & my bike comes with the oil cooler. I also had my bike dyno tuned. Appreciate the reply. Hoping my dealer gets it resolved next week.
Had it happen a few times in under 1500 miles. All three times at the gas station after fueling up. Coincidence as far as I can tell, but thought I'd mention it. P1511 (EFI POWER MANAGEMENT MODE) and P2101 (EFI MOTOR CIRCUIT RANGE PERFORMANCE - ACTUATION ERROR).
Thought for a moment that shutting it down and then restarting it after only a couple minutes may have been a problem, but how many times I've dashed into the Post Office or the band and never had the same problem...
That said -- The first time I was a mile from the dealer and rode in on "limp" (that was horrible and embarrassing with the other traffic). Tried the whole on/off four times (reset the module on my '08) with no luck. The next two times on/off *5* times seemed to do the trick.
THAT said, the dealer is picking mine up in a couple days to investigate. I don't need it happening when I'm 500 miles from nowhere...
I've had my TBW grip sensor in and out of four sets of handle bars. Dropped it on the table countless times. Pulled it by its hair(wires), swung it over my head like a bolo, and used it as a small bull whip.
15K on it and never a hiccup. Guess I got a good one.
I had this happen two weeks ago. I am new to the HD world and was completely surprised. I was going to a friend's house and it just started to rain. Because of the weather, I chose not to stop to refuel, the odometer indicator said was that I was down to less than 10 miles to empty. Had to shut down the motor to get through the gated entrance. When I restarted, it went into the low throttle, one cylinder mode. "Limped" to his house. Shut it off, restarted...no change, one cylinder, no throttle response. I let it sit overnight, put fuel in it the next AM and it has run perfectly since. I did not check for any codes. I thought it was because I was low on fuel and it was trying to save my butt. I am going to follow this thread to see what others are saying.
I've never even heard of this problem. I haven't had a problem with mine.....Good luck with yours. Reliability is so important on a bike that we travel all over God's creation with. I've had starter issues, and it sucks to hit that switch and it doesn't fire up!!
I just pulled up some codes. Two I know what they are due to the PC-V. Here are the codes...0134, 0154, 1511, P2101, & P0031. Does anyone have the code list for a 2011 Touring list? Thanks, Clay
