My bike does basically the same thing. Don't know if it goes all the way to zero or not, but it gets close at idle and in hot conditions.
I went from regular HD 20/50 to Mobile 1 V-Twin Syn. and did not notice any difference in pressure, temp., sound, or any of the other benefits that I have heard about. Same when I tried it in the wife's Heritage.
I went back to the HD dino because it is cheaper, easier to find on the road, and has always served me well in the past.
Thanks for the info. I was searching around on the internet today and found a couple of people who said that when the heat management kicks in, the oil pressure drops like it did on my bike. They also said that as long as the oil idiot light does not come on, the bike is fine.
