Comfortably Numb and cosmic, you guys must not live in a place that gets hot. I could never ride with full gear on when it's 95 and high humidity. I would pass out from heat stroke.
I have a bagger, so I am able to pack the things I need while on the road. A nice rain suit doesn't take up much space.
Just my 02
Well, other than growing up where it's not uncommon for the temp. to hit triple digits in the summer...but, I guess that's not warm enough to qualify, huh? I Rode in my Vanson and my Aerostitch pants a few years ago through Fallon, Nevada at 105 F. Sure it's warm, but what's the alternative? The pants breathe, the jacket is perforated with vents in the body. Anything over 90 F and not being covered up is how you get heatstroke when riding.
IMO, any rain suit that doesn't take up any room might as well be left at home. It's really no improvement over a custom-fitted GLAD bag. It won't breathe, so you'll just be sweating under it. If you buy decent gear, heat and humidity are a non issue.
I lasted about one rainy ride with cheap rain gear when I was a kid. Even back then I was smart enough to 'figure it out' after the one use. They were merely another layer for when it got cold. In the rain they were next to useless. You'll never know what you're missing 'til you ride with the good stuff. Being caught out in crappy weather is the worst part of riding, why make it worse? As the old saying goes....There's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.
Need some help on sizing. I want to get the new 360 hi-vi rain suit (black style) but am unsure of sizing. Nowhere does it state it is sized to fit over your jacket or gear. I am overseas and want to order online. Im sized to fit the Large perfectly but with jacket im probly more of a XL depending on the rain suit sizing. Dont want to get the XL to find out im a parachute in the wind Anybody know if its sized to fit OVER your jacket and pants.
I was happy with my EXL gear for a year then last year the second year, I had to ride 6 hours in a rain storm, it was slightly chilly, and I didn't know until I got to where I was going that I was soaked to the bone, took that gear off trashed it, and went, and bought the HIGH VIS Harley set, man it is nice, I think you could ride in a lake, and stay dry with it.

I bought the HD rain gear. Great gear that wears like iron. It was expensive but works and keeps you warm. My bigger problem is remembering to take it along.
I went to my dealer, and a hot little motor clothes girl gave me a couple to try on, I bought big enough to put my leather under it, I bet I could put my winter riding gear under it.
The main reason I bought it, is that I know people that have 10 year old Harley gear, you don't hear about other brands that old, might be out there but you don't hear about it.
