Welcome to the forum. Like others have said, if you listen to us, we will help you spend your money, lol. You are going to LOVE your new limited. I am in the military stationed in Iraq at the moment (80 days to go WOOHOO) When I went home on R&R in Sept, I traded in my 06 1200 custom in on my SWEET 2011 limited. I was able to put 700 miles on her in 11 days or so. This bike EATS miles like its nothing and cruises at 85 on the freeway with no problem what so ever. It sucked that I had to park it for 6 months till I get back but that has given me time to aquire some things, 4 in klockwerks slip ons, windshield chome molding, highway pegs, front and rear chrome speaker rings, tank bra, saddle bag covers, an extra led brake light for the tour pack, vance and hines fuel pack, radio chrome trim and thats about it for now. I still need to do the air cleaner and remove the cat to finish my stage 1. The other mods I am going to do is the big ultra kit, suspension pump, chrome rear floorboard covers and thats about all. When I took delivery, I had them throw in a backrest and center/display stand. The backrest is by far the best investment I have made for it so far. 100% stock the bike is awesome off the showroom floor. My sporty was quick but this big ole heavy beast is just as quick and almost as nimble. I hope that you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine so far. Stay safe, keep the shiney side up and POST SOME PICS ALREADY!!!
To our veteran in Iraq--Thank you!! You deserve the best. Stay safe- watch your back, and hurry home.. Quite a list of goodies on yours already..Sounds like I have some thinking to do. Most on here seem to modify a little-some to extreme. Maybe its just to individualize (big word). I'm kind of a purist now that I'm an old fart..Hot rod days are kinda over..Can't crawl under things like I used to. We'll see. DO love the sound of some good pipes though! (Old glasspack and flathead ford guy) TWO MORE DAYS!!! ARggggggggg!
Great bike. I love mine now that I have made some mods to the exhaust. Ran too hot and the cat was too restrictive. Put V&H head pipes on with the fuel moto kit and made all the difference! Great performance and NO HEAT! Thought my 05 Road King wa the best, til I got on the 10 FLHTK! New frame is a great improvment. My hat is off to the MOCO for the best riding harley I have had in many years! Enjoy yours! Get out and ride!!
Ahh Wondered about those whip antennas...everyone seems to get the shorty versions. CB still work okay with the short antennas??? Didn't realize gas cap had to be unlocked..Wish I had a damn manual to download.
I liked the black- nothing looks better when just shined--Wifey wanted the blue- so we got both..hahhha
As an ex Goldwinger- does anyone make a cover for these with antenna holes? Or just slice it and put velcro there? I know- I know- just ride and don't worry about covers.. Kinda dusty around here- (FL just big enormous sandbar)like to keep things shiney..

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new ride, I love mine! HD makes a real nice cotton cover that helps keep her warm and clean. It has velcro across the back and allows the antenna's to come through without any issues. Like everything HD sells it is expensive, but a very nice cover!
Its FINALLY here!! Wow--what a machine!! Looks, feels, throbs, just like I thought it would. Had a whole 9 miles on it when I picked it up. Gave em hell for "Joy riding" it hahahhaha.. Now to read this manual cover to cover so I can figure out how to play the radio..hahhaha I love it-- One of the better things I've done.
The Goldwing was an engineering marvel. but NO personality..Like starting a two wheel Accord..
Thanks guys and gals for getting me though the waiting period. Its WAS well worth the wait!!
Catch ya later..Mark
Congrats and good riding with your new Limited sharp bike!! I've had three different Road King models and loved them all.
