I recently installed the Cyclesounds lids. Fit and finish is very good. I've got Polk db691's in them with Hawg Wired 6.5's in the dash. Hawg Wired PSC3004 amp/s. So far I'm happy with it. The lids are great for sitting around in the parking lot. I can't hear them on the road.
I can hear the Hawg Wired setup way better than I ever heard the Biketronics setup with Hertz speakers. But my hearing loss may be different than yours so you may like what I don't. And the Hawg Wired stuff is still new so the jury is still out.
Oh, also went with a Sony head unit which may help too.
I just have the H/K head unit as of right now. I have a Pioneer Avic-n1 DVD navigation head unit sitting on the shelf but can't talk myself into putting a $1000 head unit into a bike the WILL get rained on eventually. So I may sell my fold out DVD pioneer and go with a high end $500 head unit so I can buy two if one gets rained on. haha
Pm me with your email and I will send the tunnel Picts and instructions. when I get back to Wyo next week I will try to upload some Picts of the lowers setup
I have the HD saddlebag speaker lids, grilles, and speaker baskets from the HD kit, but did not buy the kit since I can't use the 2 ohm speakers included in the HD kit (I'm going drive them with the RF PBR300X4 (4 ohm amp) and make-up my own harnesses.) I'm currently shopping for 5x7 speakers, and have met with a couple of painters to shoot the lids (and CVO speaker boxes in the vented lowers).
The HD speakers included in the kit (and used on the '12 CVO SG) are unique because of the location of the separately mounted tweeter and the design of its frame which doesn't have the mounting tabs typically found on 5x7 speakers. Using the HD speakers makes for a much easier install since aftermarket speakers will likely require some modification of the frame to fit in the recess molded into the lids.

Looks like you might actually lose more space with the lids in that thread than the cycle sounds lids. Maybe it's just the pic.
