I have the American Elite's front and rear on my Ultra
and of course it has tracked great since the new treads
were put on the ground. I only have about 4k on them
so far and haven't thought to check tread depth yet to see
how they are wearing. I also could tell a difference on groved
pavement. I am sure I will go with them againg unless they
all of a sudden wear fast on me.
I have the E3 Bias tire (rear) on my 08 Ultra, with just over 11000 miles on it. I can still get another 2000 out of it. Got a road trip in May From NC to RI then back through DC for Rolling Thunder. Will change it when I get back. (Maybe)

Reason: spelling
I love to brag on the E3's. I put the first set on in 2009 just before a trip to Washington DC to bury 3 American Heroes. I replace the rear tire last summer with just over 13,500 or so miles on it. The rear now has right at 4500 miles and I see no indications of wear. The front has 18,000 on it and it looks like it could be good for 22-24,000. Had them checked and the tread depth is fine. My only complaint(and it ain't really one) is the road noise, but it comes and goes with different types of payment. They handle rain, grooved roads, steel decking on bridges and almost any other surface I have rode on. Will say they don't like snow, but hell I don't either....LOL.....Great tire, will always buy E3's unless I can't get one then I would buy the cheapest thing the shop had and get and E3 as soon as I got home...
I'm replacing my rear Thursday. Do I need to go for the E3 on a Sportster XL 1200C?
I bought the bike used and I don't know if the worn rear is the original. The bike has 16 K. The front looks like new.
I don't ever ride 2 up.
For the sporty can go with MU90B16 rear and 90/90-21 front go to www.dunlopmotorcycle.com and check the tire catalog as each of these E's are not as wide as the Sporty stock D401/402 by 1/2"
I also got the wheel and tire warranty now I have e-3 just have to pay the difference which wasn`t much maybe 10 bucks &change. I use bikers bay but you can use any ind. that does esp.just don`t go to the dealer they will just give you a load of crap about the moco wont do it but the moco doesn`t handle esp it`s a private co. there no. is on the back of your esp card. give them a call nice bunch of people very helpful.
