Not really a spy but some really cool stuff coming out from our Seat heater supplier. I posted a picture of the new switches a week or so ago but didn't mention the new heating element. The old unit was around a 1/8" thick and to ensure it couldn't be seen through the cover we would counter sink them into the foam. They were the old hot wire type heaters, wires running in a zig-zag pattern inbetween two thin pieces of foam. I was told about the new switches and elements coming out but was shocked when they asked me to write the install instructions on it for them. I have had it for over a month now but have been waiting on a seat that only gets the heater unit and no modifications. Finally got one in today, still wasn't a perfect example because it was a Mustang seat but it worked out really good because the way Mustang seats are made makes the install super easy and you can get great pictures of the process.
The new element. Not installed yet, getting ready to mark out the position for the unit and slot for the wires to go through the seat.
And the finished product, I can't show the actual install of the heater and the way everything mounts and hooks up just yet. As soon as they finalize the instructions then I can share that information.
I'm curious to hear some feedback from riders with Heated Seats. I'm already going to do Heat Demon heated grips, but the thought of having a warm butt while on colder rides sounds appealing.
All heated gear sounds appealing, but I never liked the idea of attaching myself to a bike with wires, hence the desire to only Grips and Seats.
