G'day folks
Just bought a 2003 Electra Glide last week, and after sitting and admiring it am now starting to explore the bike. I have found these 2 wires by the clutch lever.
I am thinking they are for a GPS but am having a hard time linking them up to a certain type. The wire with the threading at the top just does not seem to match up with anything I can find elsewhere on the web.
Hope this looks familiar to someone and I can solve the mystery.
The outfit I bought it from took it in on trade and are of no help.
I can't solve your mystery but they are not Harley issue. This means the previous owner had some type of accessory on the bike that he took off and left the wires. I would stuff them away somewhere and let it go.
I agree that the one with multiple pins looks like a communications jack. The other looks like an antenna lead. Can you trace them back to their origin? I bet you'll find that they're coming from the radio.
Then if you don't need them, simply remove them, or stow them away inside the fairing.
