2010 models high oil consumption?

That is at the point of unbelieveable. I have a 2010 Ultra Limited and I never put a drop of oil in between changes and yes I check.

There is a thread in the general forum about this. Seem to be seals in the rear cyl. Hope this works

15k on mine and may be down 1/4-1/2 a quart after 5k hard miles between oil changes.About the same with 2 other TC's I've owned.

Talked to him again today. they called and give him update.
They did say the ECM was out of whack, either did a download or new one he doesn't know for sure which, that was reason for poor fuel mileage, 33mpg. They did replace the plugs

There now thinking the rings are just not seated yet. don't think its the valve guides...
didn't tear her down, just checked her out so far. also looking for possible oil leak.

supposed to get her back soon and asked him to record oil usage if any when spring gets here so we can ride again..

Hope its just not as bad as he says it is.

I got a 09 classic with up grades and i run it farely hard and doesn't use any oil with over 25k. only problem is some oil in the cleaner wich i hate so i plan on putting some doherty mist free head baffles in wich they garantee will fix the problem, we'll see.

Unless you are riding like you stole it every day, my personal opinion would be that if it is only a few years old and it uses any oil between regular oil changes, then something is amiss.
