just installed mine have yet to adjust it. what is the passing lamp mod?
The rewire mod is straightforward.... but if you don't want to do any splicing and dicing on your wiring, this HD harness is plug-n-play and works exactly as advertised.

Any idea where I can get instructions on rewiring my passing lamps (03 ElectraGlide) so they don't go out with the high beam?
I found the simplest solution of all: A $1.20 10A Diode! I've been searching this forum high and low to find the original post so I could reference it but I can't find it so here it is:
"go buy a diode. more than 5 AMP. you will see a silver ring around on end. Open your headlight bucket...stick this end into the connector where the white wire is. Stick the other end into the yellow wire. Start your bike! Alli esta! High beam..workie!!! Low workie! Passing lamp..ALWAYS WORKIE! Passing lamp switch..WORKIE! Problem..solved! Cost..about a few bucks and 10 to 15 minutes. you can just JAM this in there...and slap a piece of tape on it..ir a bead of solder...that liquid electrical tape..or if you're feeling a little beered up.. just lick it with your toungue
I tried it but on my 03 ULTRA I had to reverse the Diode: Silver Ring Side to Yellow and the other end to Wihite. Worked like a charm, took five minutes and cost a $1.20. Me so happy!
Anyone needing the special socket to adjust passing lamps ? I purchased a 9/16 deep well 3/8 drive socket from local parts store and took a die grinder with a cut-off blade and cut a 1/8 inch wide slot about 1 1/8 inches long down the center of one of the flat sides of the 6 point socket then filed down the inside & outside edges to prevent damage to the wire and it works great, you just have to use common sense not to turn it very far at one time before repositioning the socket to avoid wire damage. P.S. the socket only cost me about five bucks.
