I removed the passenger floorboards and put on pegs. The wife like it she knew the boards were in the way and now feels more secure.

I changed mine for the same reason that has been mentioned. I had to change mine back because my wife hates the pegs. I just keep them flipped up when she is not on there and they keep mostly out of my way.

I'm in the middle of switching all of my footboards/pegs. I'm switching out the driver swept boards for the D-shaped pans so I can install the HD Black Diamond inserts to match my grips. I'm also installing the D-shaped passenger pans with the reduced reach brackets and those will have the matching inserts as well.

Default Greetings from South Carolina

I am 5' 9" and at 1st when these were put on they use to bother me too, and every once in a while I get bumped but it's usually when I have to make a quick stop, I used the passenger pegs on my crash bar and love the flexibility ride comforte it gives me while riding long trips.

Yes.
Floorboards will reduce the room for your legs to move when your feet are on the ground moving the bike forwards or backwards.
My inseams are like 31-32" so as it is, I bearly touch the ground flat footed.
This is why I replaced mine with the Street Glide pegs.

My RK came with boards front and rear, I added Kuryakyn flip back pegs for the wife to be able to change positions as we ride long distance, yes the boards can be a b--tch as to being in the way but pegs were the same issue on all the other rides I've had.

I'll keep the boards, just keep them stowed when she isn't along and try to make a mental note they are down when we are on a shared ride.

I am shorter and my rear boards hit me in the back of the legs. My GF got her own bike, so I will be going back to pegs.

I took off my rear floorboards and chucked 'em... went pegs, now the back of my legs thanks me everytime I take off from a light or move the bike.
