Default Front wheel bearing

The front wheel bearing on my 09 Road King just went out. The tech says this is not unusual for the Road King. Has anyone else had this problem?

How many miles on it? I've got 16,000 on my '09 Road Glide and no issues.

It's really not that unusual. Wheel bearings on bikes are put under a lot of stress. Plus they're not made worth a **** anymore.

While 26K doesn't seem high enought to blow through bearings, I know others who have experienced this. I just pulled my bearings out this past weekend, as I'm putting on new wheels and need to return the OEM wheels to the chromer. The bearings seemed to be in VERY good condition....I guess I was just lucky.

On a police bike, not surprising. It probably thinks it's on vacation now, after what it's been through.

10 k on mine and the front bearings were shot. I'm kind of surprised but I'm glad I found what was causing my wobble. Btw they were fixed under warranty and with my new metzlers and hd gas shocks I should be rolling smooth

I needed new front bearings after foolishly riding through a flooded road for about a 100 yards up to my running boards. Won't do that again. Bike had about 28000 miles on it at the time.

We have a Softail Heritage with 30,000 and we have done the front and back already
my new motto is: (when in doubt change them out) it s not worth taking a chance on them babies
