I have 16" apes and scraped floorboards on my Road King.

It's not the arrow, it's the Indian.

I've had 14-16" apes on all the Harley's I've owned (6). I have 14" Wild1 bagger bars on my current ride (2009 FLHX) and it handles just great. I passed the experienced riders course with no problems and ride the curves aggressively. It's more like power steering to me!

My Wild Ones 12.5" feel great. I think the handling is much better that stock now that my elbows have more bend in them and my arms are at heart level

Another endorsement for the wild1 12.5 bagger apes. SO MUCH more comfortable (I changed seats too), and IMO the bike handles better...probably because I'm more comfortable.
