I can sometimes tell the difference if I forget to press the black buttons.I went with mcr, they do on rare occations need held in to blow out carbon and or oiled. This makes me wounder if the auto cr could eventually become useless?
Did 103 had starter kick back with difficulty starting at times. Did the SE compensator which helped some but did not resolve. Redid the build, do to lousy leak down, and Had Manuel CR installed no issued since. The Manuel releases are nice but are hot to touch.

Why would you think that ACR's could eventually become useless?
just got my 103/255 kit installed. Only got 200 miles on the combo, but its Jan in the NE.
The weekends have been nice for Jan, so I hope to get atleast another 100 today (high 30's and sunny)
Guess when summertime gets here I'll be regretting not having CR's installed. My thinking right now will go with the S&S east start cams
I installed a 103 BB kit on my 96 here in Vegas. I was going to use the 255 cams, but the cost of the CR's and their installation put me off. Instead I used the S&S EZ551's. Best thing I ever did. Starts easy and runs great with plenty of torque when I need it and I don't have to worry about manual CR's sticking or auto CR's going bad.
Did the 103 kit 204 cams and MCR heads on an 07 flhtc, without the CR'S the engine just goes clunk, push the buttons and it a cruise missile ,runs like a demon also went to the oil cooler with a fan,Fla gets hot !!,engine runs cool !!
