I have an '11 seat on my '10 FLHX. I couldn't tell you if the new seat is lower, but it is definately more narrow towards the tank. By being more narrow, it gives the impression that the seat is lower (allows me to be completely flat footed now).
The newer seat also has a little more lower back support than the '10 does. I hope this helps.
I have an 11 SG, and my buddy has a 10 SG. Mine does fit better, I'm 5'7, than his does. I can flat foot mine, but still looking for a way to get me a little closer to the ground.
I have a 2011 Street Glide, and I have compared the seat to the 2010. Mine seems to sit you a little lower, and is more comfortable (although I have not ridden the 2010 any real distance).

I bought a 2011 Street Glide seat for my 2009 Street Glide and G20 is right.
I do believe it sits lower also. It is definately narrow in front to get your feet on the ground better and the seat is a lot more comfy than the old style seats.
I have a 2010 RG and also have both seats, all post above are true. Only takes a couple of days to get it if the dealer doesn't have it in stock, I believe the price is around $169.
