Why do so many on this forum only want to add slip ons??? I just don't get it! Get rid of the worthless stock head pipe and get a full system and/or a good headpipe(s) to pair with a nice set of slip ons! Aftermarket all the way, baby!!!
Two BIG reasons to ditch the stock headpipe. The first thing you will see when you take off those sleek chrome heatshields, is that HUGE collector, with major bluing from the extreme heat of the cat inside.
Then, if you take off your right side muffler, and shine a flashlight into the headpipe, you will see the cat that turns your bike into a kitten!
Trust me, I called Fuel-Moto right away!

I agree, I have a headpipe on the shelf. I will use slip ons till break in, then ill do headpipe tuner and air cleaner. I could do it all now, but I have not had the bike @wot, and won't till break in. That way I will have something for my butt dyno to compare.
Buyin' slip-ons without getting rid of the cat. converter is a waste. I know because I did it on my '10 Road King. I put a fine pair of Rineharts on it and it sounded wimpy.
I have the V&H Pro Pipe on my '10 Street Glide and it is great. You can ride it relatively quiet or you can make it snort. It really sounds wicked when you get on it.
