I have a 2011 road glide 103. I was wondering which slip-on exhaust will give this bike some sound to it, and does it need to be remapped with slip ons? thanks for the anticipated help.
No remap needed for just slip ons. You will be limited on sound with the cats in the headpipe. Still can get a little bark, but better if you remove the cats or replace the whole system.
Lots of choices out there. I recently had the Jackpot Dyno-Tuned 4" slip-ons from FuelMoto and was pleased with the sound and quality. Definitely louder than stock, but not so much that they aroused suspicion from the neighbors. Nice deep tone at a great price.
Options abound, but soundclips from you tube and hanging out at your local HD listening to bikes will be tough if your keeping the cat head pipe because most people elimate them or never had them. For just sound, V&H are good options along with Rhineharts. Jackpots will probably be a little quiet with the stock head pipe.
I just put 3.5" rineharts on and love the sound, louder than my pythons but not by much, deeper sounding.
Buddy of mine has 4" bassani's on his bagger, everybody that has heard them says they sound good, nice low rummble and bark when in the throttle. They also look awsome with the 4" slash cut from the back.
