I took out the garbage stock comp and put in a s/e one and replaced the front belt sprocket with a 23 from andrews but this throws off the spedo, do they have the 23 sprocket for the s/e? would have been easier.

how did this throw off the speedo? the speed sensor is in the tranny. i went down to a 22 in the front, and had a serious difference in RPM, but the speedo was still only off by 1 MPH at 60 MPH. you did say belt pulley, but that isnt a 23. the stock belt front pulley is a 32 on my years, and not too much different on the newer ones. i wouldnt think that any one sells a 23 front belt pulley. a 29 is the lowest i have ever seen, for my years at least.

Like Harleypingman stated, the 3.37 option is very popular. If you are looking to do it on the cheap, just change to the 24T comp. sprocket and get a Baker Fat Shoe for around $40 and use your existing chain. This gives you somewhere around 3.28 I believe and is a noticeable improvement over stock. If that's not enough, then change the clutch basket for 3.37. all kinds of options. I wish my '07 was as easy to do as the '06 and older.

Did you see the thread on the 07 Japanese Sportster 68T rear sprocket? If you have added IDS to yours it bolts right up. Makes your gearing same as the 09 and up bikes.

Oh yeah, keeping an eye on it. Got a couple things I need to do first. Just picked this one up in Oct., so I have quite a bit I need to do it as it's totally stock. Just waiting for it to warm up a little in my unheated shed. Only rode it for a little bit last fall and put her away for the winter. Needless to say, this has been an extremely LONG winter so far...

I'll post back late next week with my impression of the change. Not exactly what I want but close and a lot cheaper.

The last time I ordered from her I used the on line request and got an answer back pretty quick.

I was snooping around at the BAKER website, and they list a 22T compensator also. I know you run the 21T, which is 19% more torque, and the 23T is 9% more torque.

The 22T is 12 % more torque. How would the RPM verses MPH pan out with that ?? Do you think that the 22T would be too steep for this heavy sled that is almost always 2 up ???

BTW ,.............the Baker site sells the kits for $249 !! WOW !!
