Big improvment over stock without changing cables. But Iam thinking about some 13" cyclesmiths next but I will have to extend cables.

I have them on my Heritage and love them. (He he!)

They are a comfortable Handlebar.

About 6 months after getting my bike (02/14/2009) I went to the Heritage bars on my 2009 RoadGlide. Better than stock but I still get the neck and shoulder tension. Am having Wild 1 517's put on in a couple of weeks. They have a 14 1/2" pullback and are only 31 inches wide. If those aren't the right ones I'll keep trying until I get the right damn bars.

I put them on my 2010 FLTRX. I had 3 Heritage Softails prior to the RGC. I wouldn't have any other bars on my bike. They tell you if you have TBW that you need to by this throttle by wire extension kit. Thats crap. You dont need it to do Heritage style bars. You would if you went eith anything higher. No shoulder blade pain anymore. Could easily do 1,000 a day with these installed.

In my case, I swapped out the stock seat on my FLHR for a Mustang super solo. Then I replaced the stock bars with Heritage-style. The new bars are a big improvement, but not quite it for me. I can see going with Wild Ones 502s when I change these out.

One of the reasons I bought a Heritage, the bars are the most comfortable of all the bikes I've owned.

I am 5'6" with short arms - I installed the 517's on my RG after doing a LOT of reading... I found those bars were a Love/Hate bar here on the forum. I will tell you this, at first it will be a very different feel. I installed mine and said "hum, different" I then told my self, I will run these on my First Coast to Coast - by the time I got back I LOVED them - they were a great fit to my body. I then decided to change my RG back to a EG and when I put the 575's back on my EG I really missed the 517's. In fact I missed them so much I had to shop until I found something close to the same feel for my EG - that ened up being the

good luck on the 517's - give them some time and I think you will enjoy them
