when i first picked up my 08 Rad Glide from the dealer i stopped half way home about half hour of riding got off the bike shaking my head. my buddy asked me what was wrong and said what the heck did i just spend all this money for long distance touring bike and my lower back is killing me. changed out the bars to the police bike heritage style bars and haven't looked back since. besides replacing bars i had the seat shaved down and shaped.

The Heritage bar are poorly designed. The hands lean in, elbows out, and that wears on your wrists in short time. Don't waste your time.

There are a big majority that did not have the same experience with them, as you did. Different arm lengths and body dimensions play a role, for sure.

I could see if they were adjusted way forward, that your hands would lean in. Do you have long arms?

It does not matter which direction the bar is set, the wrist lean angle leans in and that is unnatural.

Pulled back as mine are, I do not feel the effect that you speak of.
They do not lean in at all.
Mebbe I have retarded-people wrists? I don't recall riding the short bus.

Sure fits me well with no awkward feelings of wrist angles. Perfect fit.

Which bus did you ride?

I'm entitled to my opinion, just like you are entitled to play arsehole keyboard warrior. Puck off.

Talking

The Last several post above are EXACTLY why asking other people about seats and handle bars is like asking someone to find you a Girl Friend - they will get what they like and may or may not work for you... Now back to your warrior game? lol
