i didn't know this was for touring stories...well here you go...thought about touring today but it was going to be too hot. tomorrow it will be too cold. day after it will be just right but could rain late in afternoon...oh well, maybe i'll keep mine in the garage and hope the weather breaks by spring...perhaps those guys that ride the beamers or the hondas have some good stories.
not a better way to start out the day with a good cup of joe and hdforums!
ride safe and have fun...remember...all days are good, some are just better than others.
I have a touring bike with 11.500 miles in 6 months and have never ridden more then 300 miles one way and most of the rides where less then 200 at a shot, so this must mean I'm not touring so I'll sell my bike and buy a moped,[sm=biker.gif]

I have an 01 Ultra, and put 65,000 on it over 3 seasons. (2 missed because I was a bad boy.[:@]) Have been on a few great tours, but the best was around the Great Lakes.
Anyways, nothing has been wrong with the bike in a couple of years, so nothing to complain about.
I bought my '91 Ultra yesterday and rode it the 180 miles home to Maine from New Hampshire. It's beautiful two-tone blue and minty with 53K miles. Runs like a top. 38 MPG at 80-85 with an S&S Super carb. It's nice to see another Evo Ultra owner on the forum. It's going to be a long winter...
91ultra, be proud of your EVO man. Doesn't seem like many of us out there left. We are officially "relics" from the sounds of things around here.
I âtourâ all the time, to the store, to the gas station, to the dealership, up into the mountains here in Washington and Oregon, to the coast, to the volcanoes, to the best damn Philly Cheese Steak place in the Pacific North West, 200 to 400 mile days, âtourâ every day I go out for a ride. Itâs time to put the âtourâ bike away for the winter, Iâll âtourâ in the rain here, but not the snow.
