One pound of drag reduction is worth eight pound of hp, that's a fact. Live with it. If you want to make a bike go really fast, start with putting a really good fairing on it. Those sport bikes don't have that funny looking fairing on them just for looks, it's on there because years of road racing have shown that that is what will really reduce drag. If you don't want that look, except the fact that your bike will never be really fast in the real world, only your fantasy world.
Very knowledgeable post. Having watched a lot of highly modified v-twins on the salt, I estimate that 120 mph would be exceptional for a streetable 110". To get a bagger ( they have a minimum sq in frontal surface and standard saddle bags) to 150 mph is going to require 180+ in HP (blown + alcohol) and a long run up. Also, the bike that went 183 last year was running in a partial stream-liner, modified body class.

In reality, about as close to stock as a Sprint Cup car .

I've had my glide up to 110 indicated, don't have a GPS unit to compare to. That was enough for me, it is a road sofa after all. I have had my CBR up to an indicated 165, that was also enough for me and that was back in my younger days.

hey - GPS indicated 185 km/h with the 96" and cams (26H). I'm sure I'll test limits with the 120R. If the post is still goin. A couple 120R owners here already. Dunno where they're at...

208 km/hr in my 2007 GMC Z71 4x4. It had a tuner knocking the speed limiter to 125 mph. I wonder what would happen with a moose contact.

Anyone go radar detector on their bike?

Look at what a deer did to a BMW here in Germany on the autobahn....

Top Speed? My 08UC will only go 5mph over the posted speed limit. That enough for Me! Back during the Day, I only knew two speeds, 0-80mph..... But 6mo in the hospital cured Me of that. Damn trees don't move. Before My encounter with the tree, I always said it would never happen too Me, I was to Damn good of a rider. Besides, in those day's I was made of Steel, or so I thought.

110 effortlessly....more there...but ticket for 103 in a 55 last summer makes me a bit cautious on doing it too often.

Talking BTW - I am just kidding...

Hey can I come here and post a bunch of nonsense about how dangerous it is to speed, and that is why we have speed limits and call everyone names and say derogatory things about how you all are killing our kids 'cause your talking about speeding and breaking the law and kids read this and will go out tomorrow and do it n stuff?

Maybe pick out a few people in here and call them out that they must have some sort of mental problem or small sexual organ if they feel they have to go these ridiculously incredible speeds and prove something and yadda yadda and noise and spew more swear words and ignorance...

Ahhh - I feel better - I got to come into a thread where I have nothing to offer or really contribute something and yet offend everyone with my negative attitude and BS ignorance.

Thanks all.

I have yet to be brave enough to see how fast mine will go yet, I know it does 80-90 effortlessly and I was comfy at that speed, but more than likely I will see how fast it can go sometime this year since I will finally have a full season to ride it. I just got mine in July last year and I wasn't ready to push it, just yet.

Ya'll ride safe and when testing, watch for those LEO's!
