Finally got my Stage 1 done today. SE intake, SE Fatshotz slip-ons. Still have cat in pipes. Hit 110mph on Speedo tonight 2-up coming back from dinner. Ran out of road, but was still pulling hard in 4th gear, plenty to go. I didn't check the tech, had to avoid some 65mph cars coming up FAST!!!!! I'll do the next run in a better place with the GPS on.....
125 on the RK once just to say I did it on the Northway headed to Lake George.(if the speedo was correct) Riding buddy had a Kawasaki he pulled away @115 and was close to 145mph. 110 with the EGL and that is still stock
Damn i've really stirred the **** up by startin this thread! LOL! Never checked personally with a gps but a couple of years ago i got into a pissin contest with a gold wing rider. 05 EG/SG Vs 06 Gold Wing 55mph punch i smoked him to 110. At 132 (per his dig. speedo and gps) we were both done, nothing left. My speedo read 125 but i wasnt gonna argue with him. Oh and before someone throws a shoe, my bike is definitely not stock!

Yeah you did, but ain't it fun, though?
I've had my SG to 110 without even trying, so I'm sure there are guys with more mods putting up some REALLY serious numbers. And I'm not saying that I believe everything that I read here, but I also don't think you would need 250hp to reach 150mph, either. (I think 110hp would do it)
I personally would never want to go that fast, but IF I DID...
I would surely post the video right here...
coming down 118 from Ft Davis to Alpine, TX.; last year around September. Since I've got the SG, I first pushed to 100, then 110, and now 115. There was some throttle left so I'm sure I'll be looking for 120 in the near future. Going to have to find that top out. I think it's got a lot to do with the black paint....

I guess that 250 hp remark was because of the figures I gave. Those are standard drag and power figures, look it up youself. Either way, the air won't care what anyone belives. Threre are probably quite a few Harley baggers with better than 110 horses, there are very few Harley baggers that will go 150mph. None of those will have 110 hp. One pound of drag reduction is worth eight pound of hp, that's a fact. Live with it. If you want to make a bike go really fast, start with putting a really good fairing on it. Those sport bikes don't have that funny looking fairing on them just for looks, it's on there because years of road racing have shown that that is what will really reduce drag. If you don't want that look, except the fact that your bike will never be really fast in the real world, only your fantasy world.

Not disagreeing on this one. Look at the fairings on the baggers that are running the world fastest baggers at the salt flats. They are either modified roadglides or just flat out changed. I'm curious as to how much hp it would take to get a batwing to 150. http://www.worldsfastestbagger.com/W...r/Welcome.html
