you can do just cams with a good tune and will be amazed at the difference. i put 211's in mine and would not recommend for 2 up since they don't really come on til a bit higher rpm. but it suits my riding style. like the others said, lots of good write ups on here about the lower rpm torque cams. i should be happy with this for a while but would love to do the 120 motor on down the road.

I had the same issue...just want a little more for 2 up riding. I bit the bullet and went to the 96 stage II which is a 103 plus a/c and 255 cams. Delighted. Now I have the power that I need and can move on to other things. I did put an oil cooler and oil temp gauge on at the same time. Does not meet the best cost that you mentioned but if you are going to do, do it now. Just saying....

Default 103 upgrade

talking to my dealer and he suggested I do the cam upgrade with the adjustable push rods (makes cam install easier?) for my FLHTK. Looking for that low to mid range grunt for 2 up riding. is the 255 the way to go?

I'd reccomend the Woods 555 or the S&S 551 for low end torque, the woods website is loaded with dyno runs and the S&S site has dyno charts too. The S&S 510's I have in my bikes are good bolt in cams too but are more of a low lift midrange boost cam 3-5k, no improvement of low end 1500-2400 in the 510's

255 is a good cam and will wake up the bike as several people have it in their bikes....If you put (for example) the stock, the 255 and the Andrews 26H ...you can see the lobe size is visibly different like small, medium and large....From what i can tell for the low end torque grunt all are good choice but some fall off earlier than others...I rarely use my power above 4000 rpm so the Andrews 26H worked well for me...I think the S&S mentioned, Woods 555 or TW6-6 are a bit more aggressive....

I will take a look at fuel moto and do some looking around i think i am going to start out with just push rods and cams and if it does the trick i will stop if not i can always go to 103 kit but then your looking at ACR or better starter dont really want to open the box yet
