I bought a Corbin for my old Hayabusa used, rode with it for a couple thousand miles and loved it after the initial acclimation period. Took me about a week to get used to the firmness. Rode it on an 800 mile weekend trip once, and my butt was the only thing that didn't hurt when we got back!

I just bought a used Classic Solo, touring pilion, and backrest for my RKC off ebay, from 2 different sellers. Again, paid about half over new, and the seats look to be in absolutely perfect condition. The weather is still terrible here so I've only ridden the bike around the block with it on, but it feels noticeably better than both the police seat and stock RKC seat I'd previously had on the bike.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used Corbin at all. Worst case if you're still really worried, make sure the guy you're buying the seat from weighs less than you.

I have a dual touring seat for sale because I bought a solo with a pillon. Bought both of them used and both of them made my *** sore for 500 miles and then after that I forgot about them. It magically became comfortable. I paid about half price for both seats. Any way my rk dual touring is up for grabs. If you would like pics, pm me.

I am looking at both the classic solo with the touring pillion pad and the dual tour.

I bought a new Corbin Classic solo about 5K miles ago and it felt the same the first time I sat on it as it did a few days later after I did a 400 mile ride in a day--great seat IMO.

I later purchased a used Classic solo from a buddy because it had a V-rail and backrest with it. Road it a couple of days and couldn't tell any difference between my new seat and the 5 year old seat that had seen many miles. I sold the used seat, V-rail (didn't care for the look on my bike) and backrest. The new purchaser was very happy with his "new" seat, etc.

Personally, I don't think the seat breaks-in; the rider's butt does if it's been accustomed to the typically soft HD OEM seats.

Which did you like better, the Hollywood, or the Classic? and why?

I guess it kinda depends on whether you're looking for looks or comfort. Overall, comfort wise, the Classic Solo was somewhat better on longer rides though I did do 500+ miles days with both and no problem.

I have a 2009 Ultra Classic and would love to find a Corbin Grambler for sale on the forum. Had one on my 2006 Ultra Classic and loved it , just hard to pay that $479.00 PRICE TAG.

Any truth to the Corbin factory dropping back to three days a week so delivery times are extended?
