i thought this was a forum for people of all levels of experience to ask questions and learn???....not try and belittle people and make them feel stupid for asking questions and trying to learn...

You could, but I'm in Adelaide, SA, Australia right now and don't really care if it's raining in NM. It is a beautiful, sunny 31C (88F) here in Adelaide.

Another 3-1/2 weeks of work, then 10 days of play...(won't be home til 28 March)

Rain, well it is just part of it. Always be prepared with the right gear, and do not try and avoid the rain drops, makes for tricky riding.

OK, I'm going to let you guys in on a little forum secret... riding in the rain is no problem, but you want to make sure you give your bike a good coat of Lemon Pledge before you head out into the wet stuff.
