Sure you can ride em in the rain, thats what the accessory umbrella is for. Hit the switch and it automaticly pops up. Just make sure you unplug the microwave and put it in the tourpack until it stops raining, then you can resume nuking your popcorn while you drive, lol. 48 DAYS left in the sandbox, WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!
I think you got it backwards! I only ride in the rain (steady downpour or harder), sleet and snow but I especailly like riding on ice. Won't take the bike out unless temps are freezing or lower! I am a tough, hardened, f**cin biker! You have to live life on the edge, constantly touting fate and shaking your fist into the wind. HARLEY BABY - GET TOUGH OR GET OUT!!
I'm so tired of some of these questions, Ithought I'd just join them. Can I ride my bike in the rain?
-The dumb question is the one not asked.
-Take it easy on those looking for info, we were all rookies at one point or another.
-Although an idiot may claim he knows everything, it only proves the opposite.
-And lastly, this dog hopes to never be too old to learn a new trick.
I'd say yes to that BUT!! you better have the new super dooper slick stuff applied first, the NEW XZILON, for a low cost of $600.00 bucks, then you'll be good to go.

Funny you should ask.
I just so happen to be the North American distributor for the HogBrella. It's a simple device that attaches to your handlebars and opens automatically when it starts to rain.
Not only does it keep you and your bike dry..... but the built in flamethrower shoots a 2400 degree flame on to the road ahead of you to dry the pavement.
It's only $19,999.00 USD with free shipping if you order today.
I accept Cashiers checks and Paypal.
Please allow 1 to 2 centuries for delivery

Nahhh dont get the rain download from HD, they have to keep that within Weather Channel standards and you will still run wet. Get the Rain Commander V works alot better and you can get maps for different types of rainstorms.
And if you run a usb connection out under the seat and but a decent netbook the gf can dial it in as you ride so you can change the map right in the middle of the storm. Oh yeah and if you get one of those clamp on holders for umbrellas, like they have for golf carts you can add it to your handlebars and heep the rain off your face
Oh man. I rode in rain this weekend with HA to Florence Prison. It was my 1st ever "run". It was insane. Lets suffice it to say traffic laws do not apply. Front brake has been squealing since. Don't know if its due to 75-80 on the highway ('98 Fatbot) or what. But it started during the rain ride when the rain let up on the way home.
