What is the MAXXBASS circuit that you refered to earlier in the thread?
I'm interested in starting with the speakers but then if I decide to go with the amp, I'll need the other speakers, right?
Very Sweet sound once all is installed and a few phone calls from the dumb GI in NC , LOL. The sound quality is a HUGE difference!! There is a very noticable bass difference as well. Well worth the upgrade in my opinion. Plus customer service is AWSOME! Thanks again PEZ for your patience
ClinesSelect, thanks for the nice clear pictures. I havent had my fairing apart yet and I was curious as to whats behind there. Looks like the insides of my TV set..............BG
All I have to say is "WOW"
The second time taking off and install the fairing in about an hour.
The Hogtunes speakers ROCK.
Time to go for a ride to work .
balmy 37deg.
I have the 0914's mounted in my fairing ,sony 5710 stereo and would like to install rears on my tour pak, my question is this...... to install another set of 0914's in the rear on the tour pak I have to install a amp?? my sony already has the wiring for rear speakers so my thought was all I need is rear pods, grills and use the pair of 0914's i bought off a buddy after his bike was totaled by the insurance company. so...... after reading this post,i'm either more confused about how to set up four speakers on my bike or........ never really had a clue
I really dont want a amp,but would enjoy rear speakers......can one be used without the other?
I'm going with Infinity Reference 4" and an amp of the 105watt range, hoggtunes amp is only 48watts. 8watts more than the stock
radio, Also the HK speakers are electro magnet components, actually a better quality than the HT speaker, It's really in the accustics
of the farring, If you filled the farring up with fiberfill sound quallity would be greater.. There are many ways to improve the HK sound,
but my vote is not HT's..
Will the IR speakers hold up to the outside elements and accidental water encounters from rain and washing? And what kind of power draw will the amp put on the charging system? Just asking here - I'm trying to come up with the best component setup for my bike.

Good info but I had a couple of questions.
The fairing is not a sealed or vented enclosure so how would stuffing it with fiberfill make the sound quality greater?
What is the internal volume of the fairing? What is the recommended enclosure size for the HT drivers?
Please explain in more detail the motor technology used in the stock drivers compared to what is used in the HT driver.
Where did you find the actual output specs for the HK head unit? I don't mean the "40-watt per channel boost" verbiage but the actual specs showing the THD at rated RMS power.
Did you bench test your HT amp? What was the actual output? Is the 48w RMS rating well less than the actual output?
