just got back from a short ride, noticed a drop of oil under my streetglide,
upon further inspection I noticed the oil dripped off the voltage regulator wires, , looked closer, cannot see where oil is coming from, thought maybe a rocker cover and running down front, but totally dry...
any ideas?
If an oil change has been done recently, it could be left over when the filter was changed. Might try clening it up real good, paying close attention to the oil filter area, take it for another ride and check again.
Just wet out and cleaned it all up, last oil change was about 1k miles ago, i figure any residual oil should have been gone by now, does'nt seem to do it while parked, seems to leak when running, is there an o-ring under the oil filter housing? bike only has 11k miles on it..is an 07
No O ring there that I'm aware of. Perhaps your filter is a little loose. Give it a small tweek but don't over tighten or you'll have a bugger of a time getting it off.
On my 2011 they replaced an O-Ring. Something about a new change for 2011 and they have had quite a few repaired under warranty.
any chance of getting more details or a bulletin # please? If there is a known 2011 problem I'd like to get it resolved before my bike gets delivered next week.

Jules.......that a Goshawk, version of the T-45 you're driving there.
It could easily be from the oil change, it hangs out under the oil cooler and drips out when it gets hot. Spray it down good with some parts cleaner hitting all the nooks and crannies. It'll stop.
