One other thing...make sure you ask the painter how they plan to prep the chrome pieces. Hand sanding and self-etching primer are a must, unless they media blast it first. Make sure they dont just shoot it red and give it back - it will flake off.
the painter said the shield kept causing problems during the drying so they had to sand it again and put three coats of primer on it. kinda makes me wonder what KW is making their shields out of.
oh well, it looks good. only bad thing is that my FBI dash wont be shipped until after daytona sucks ***...
After weighing the pros and cons of a new set of turn signals from tradewinds, i decided to rock out with the visor style trim rings. $500 for turn signals is crazy, even for me - and I would rather eat PB&J for 2 weeks just to buy bike parts.
