ARG, the price of pretty add on's is a killer. Thats why i bought an Ultra that already had most of it on already. When looking at my current bike the light bar and all the chrome the previous owner installed caught me. I am now putting $$ into the power train. Wish i could line up a deal on a six speed though.

The forum can definitely plant some expensive ideas in your head. I sell all my extra parts in the classifieds and keep a paypal balance for whatever my next project is. It doesn't pay for everything, but it helps.

6 grand could keep you on the road for a month...much better use of funds...and the memories will last a life time. keep it stock and spend the cash on gas, oil, tires and road-trips. JMO

Resale potential is exactly why I am keeping the 95 inch engine out of my 06 Street Bob. The SE 120R project plus other winter mods are going to have me about 8500 more into a bike I paid 9000 for in July of 10. My thought, should I ever sell the bike for whatever reason the SE 120R and other sundry parts come off and the originals go back on for sale purposes. That way I can either save the good parts for the next bike or peddle them.
