BTW, for those that posted and those that will read. There are pencils that are meant to write on glass. Makes great lines leaves no residue on the paint job.
Carpenter for more years then I care to count. Rulle #1 is KISS. Keep it simple stupid. When I got the rack I did the same , play with the template, measure, measure, measure. Finally just put the rack on, drew some small pencil lines around the mounting points, (after my "eye" said it was right). Laid the rubber washers over the marks to mark center and drilled the holes. Laid the washers down with some black RTV silicone added fender washers to the inside with a little more rtv and called it good. I think it looks great, seems to work and if you don't agree, tuff **** it's my bike. Your's look's great Next time KISS
