Trying to find a better quality passing lamp bulb, the stock HD bulbs look awful yellow compared to the PIAA H4 in my headlight. Any one running anything different. I know the stockers are 35watts, can you run 60 watts? without problems with overheating ? Any other options, I see LED bulbs are out there, they are pretty reasonable, anyone have any reports on using these? Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Yes there are other options. I'm using 35W amber sealed beams in mine. Studies show that amber lights are more visible in a sea of white lights than white. They exist in white too if you prefer.

Why not just go with the PIAA bulb in your passing lamps now. If I remember correctly it's the H3 if it's not the sealed unit.
Done this (PIAA's in all lights) in a previous bike and they were bright!
You can just pull out the old bulbs and put some 55W bulbs in. They are $3 each at any auto parts store. Harley wioll try to sell you whole sealed piece, but you can pull the rubber casing off teh back to access the bulbs very easily.
