what he did. Most RG guys do the top of the radio, or make a bracket. Batwings are not something I can comment on, but my buddies use the top of the radio.

I would be careful mounting the amp on top of the radio, especially with velcro. I had sent my HK radio to Iron Cross and they saw velcro on top and they told me to not do that because it could cause vibrations to the radio and ruin it. They said if that is where I was going to mount it that it needs to be zip tied.
