You've obviously never run a 2-1 because this is not true at all.
A good 2-1 will outperform ANY true dual system by a substantial margin & eliminates the heat issue of the stock system also.
My Supertrapp Supermeg runs every bit as cool as a true dual system(cooler on the left side)

I second that, I have run both and there is no more heat than duals.

That's good to know that it's less leg heat on the right side than the stock pipes. Just to mention that when I went to duals I noticed a slight increase in heat from the left side over the stock system.
