I have Avon Cobras on my 2010 FLHTK and they seem to be lasting pretty well. I have around 14K on them. The rear will need to be replaced in another 1K-2K, the front still looks good.

Anyone had problems with the 407R cupping on the 2009's I have over 16K on this tire with about 3K left but in turns it sound like a mud tire.

Never had any problems with the 407R Rear Tire.. However the 407F was cuppping badly at 5K on the original OEM tire .. Was replaced under warranty with a 408F which got 20K out of with no problems Just changed it at 25K to American Elites ..

Mine did the same thing at around 15K, still had some miles left on the tread but that back tire would hum on any sweepers

Replaced it and the hum went away

Thanks for the replies. Just to let you know I went with the Metzler me880 and all I can say is WOW. They stick like glue. I had my choice between them and the american elites. I went with them because of all the problems with dunlop. Hopefully they will hold up.They feel 1000% better than my dunlops.

Love the Metz. Avons are the tires that love high air pressure for some reason. If you get the Venoms make sure you run the right pressure or they will wear out fast.
