Has anyone changed out their headlight bulbs on a Road Glide that has the removable bezel? How the heck do you pull in off. The manual says "Carefully Pry". I have tried everything short of breaking it. Has anyone actually had it off? am i missing a screw or something??
I just took my fairing off to get it painted. The bezel just pulled off the front. No screws and I pulled it off with my fingers. It required a little effort but not too much.
The bubble was easier since you could see a small gap where the tabs were located. The Bezel is a bit tougher, but once you know were the four tabs are you slide a flat head screw drive in and lift up gently. I work on each a little at a time until it pops off. Pretty easy once you've done it.
The two tabs on the top need to be gently pried down. The two on the bottom are pried up.
They only grip by about 1/16th of an inch or even less. They also snap clean off sometimes if you just try to pull the bezel straight out like folks say you can.
Heres my 2 cents, try looking through the accessories section of the HD web page for your model, lots of accessories have installation instructions right on the web site. If you find an accessory for that vicinity those instructions should show you what to do.
You could also try other aftermarket accessory manufacturers web sites for the same thing.
The best advise I can give you though is, beeeeee careful!
( Duh, like you couldn't figure that out on your own. )
