Thinking about the V&H X pipe.. Is it worth the price ??
I am thinking about getting the V&H X pipe for my 2009 Ultra. I have V&H monster ovals, Power Commander 5 and the SE backplate/air filter. I want to know the benefits of spending 500 dollars. Will I see much improvement with the new head pipes and x cross over ??? Also if I do decide to do it, I don't want to mess with trying to get the O2 sensors out of the stock pipes, is there a "plug" I can get to plug the holes in the new headers ??? If so, size or part numbers would be very helpful.
don't know if it's worth the $500 or not , quess it depends on what else you are doing and what you are looking for but on the plugs i bought a set of pipes for one of my bikes and the pipes had the o2 ports but no sensors on the bike so I went to a local muffler shop and they had plugs , I think they are all like a standard size , no need to go to the stealer
Really can't speak from an additional power standpoint as I have yet to have it dyno'ed, but I put the X pipe on my 2010 Ultra Limited to get rid of the cat and cool things down. From that standpoint the x pipe made a difference for me. But your bike does not have a cat so the cooling effect may be minimal.
I put them on my 2010 Street Glide. But the main reason was to get rid of the CAT and to have duals on the back. The fit and finish is incredible, the heat shields are at least twice as thick as stock. They get a lot of attention.
