The only reason I would change it is if it sat out in the weather. If you had it inside.....stay on your schedule!

How much does an oil change cost compared to an engine. Not saying you will lose one but my peace of mind is worth a few bucks. Your bike, your money and your choice. I make my own decisions on things like this.

i am more concerned about the oil filter sitting and gumming up more than the oil loosing its vescosity.

I would never, never change oil without changing the filter. How cheap can you get??

I'm w/the majority - ride it. Never changed oil in my 05 Sporty before winter...sat in garage from Nov - Apr & rode as strong as new. You're good to go...

get a life that is exactly why you need to do a complete change,because of the filter you tool!!

My RK has about 500 miles on it. It has been in my garage since early December hooked up to a tender and fuel grated with Seafoam. I plan on riding it until 1000 miles when I will do first change
