Default Rear Wheel Orientation

Hello again,
I know this is going to sound like a silly question but I can't find the answer anywhere.

A little background first; I have a 2008 Street Glide with ABS. The wheels that came with it were spoked. I swapped the front wheel out for a 2010 cast, slotted wheel and I have bought a rear cast, slotted wheel (non-abs) off Ebay for the back. The wheel I bought doesn't have a disc or the cush drive installed. I haven't taken my spoked wheel out of the bike yet because I want to get a new tire and bearings installed on the new wheel and then do the swap all at once.

Okay then, my question; Which way round does the slotted wheel fit in the bike? Both sides look the same with the exception of one side having some grooves machined into the face of the bolt flange. I measured from the face of the bolt flange to the edge of the rim using a straight edge and depth micrometer. The flange with the groove measures 2.35" and the other side measures 2.51". I know this is only .016" but I think it is enough to make a difference.

The reason I ask is that I am taking the wheel to have a tire mounted and I need to make sure it goes on the right way round.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once again, thanks for any help.

Willie

On the slotted mag wheel, the valve stem is on the right side of the bike, just like the front wheel.
